The effect on drama play activity using tales to improve vocabulary ability for children with learning disabilities

Abstract
Generally, children with learning disabilities can¡¯t learn well unlike normal students using the same pattern and same speed. So we tried to know the effect on vocabulary ability using tales and play program with voluntary activity and pleasure and fun. The purpose of this study was that: (a) understand drama play program with tales effect on the vocabulary receptivity of children with learning disabilities; and (b) understand drama play program with tales effect on the vocabulary power of expression of children with learning disabilities. We had a play activity with two students. We chose 6 falk tales and read each story then understand the entire story then, we made a scenario with each story. Then we performed. The results for this study were that; (a) drama play activity with falk tales had a big influence to the children¡¯s vocabulary ability those who with learning disabilities; and (b) drama play activity with falk tales increased the those children¡¯s vocabulary power of expression. Therefore this study concluded that drama play activity using falk tales was an excellent strategy of increasing vocabulary to the children with learning disabilities.
